An iPhone 13 normally sets its time zone automatically. To choose a different one yourself, open Settings > General > Date & Time, turn off Set Automatically, then tap Time Zone and search for the city or time zone you want to use.
Choose a time zone manually
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap Date & Time.
- Turn off Set Automatically.
- Tap Time Zone.
- Search for and select the appropriate city or time zone.
The displayed time should update after you make the selection. Calendar events that include time-zone information may also appear at a different local time, so check upcoming appointments after making a manual change.
Why can’t I turn off Set Automatically?
If the option is unavailable, the iPhone may be restricted by Screen Time, a device-management profile, or a carrier or regional configuration. A work or school iPhone can also have date-and-time settings controlled by an administrator.
Automatic time is usually the better choice
For everyday use, leaving Set Automatically enabled is the simplest option. The iPhone can then update its clock and time zone as you travel. Manual selection is most useful when troubleshooting, testing, or intentionally keeping the phone on another location’s time.
